Signs that you have a BEE problem
1.
Seeing a cluster of bees on a branch, fence post, or structure. These are bees looking for a new home. This is called a swarm and needs prompt attention before they move into an unwanted location.
2.
Large numbers of bees flying in and out of a gap in brickwork, a roof soffit, or an air vent, suggesting an established colony inside the building fabric.
3.
A low humming sound coming from a ceiling, wall, cavity or chimney breast. This can indicate a large honeybee colony within a cavity.
4.
You can see bees entering and leaving the ground. Bumblebees often nest in old rodent burrows or under garden sheds.
5.
Bees that are becoming noticeably more aggressive. Especially near a particular area of your garden or building. This will indicate a disturbed or large colony nearby.
